	A Message from the President Greetings, On behalf of Technology in Africa, Inc. (TIA) I personally thank you for taking the time to inquire about an organization that strives to make a difference in the lives of many, during this technological revolution. The vision for Technology in Africa was given to me while studying aboard in Africa, the summer of 2004. During my first assignment in Africa, the summer 2003, I noticed the insufficient Information and Communications Technology that was in place, from rundown internet cafes with extremely slow bandwidth, to poor telecommunications that had little or no service, much of the time. I was in a country that had been oppressed for hundreds of years with a limited sense of the correct direction to travel in order to take advantage of this technological revolution that many other nations and continents, around the world, were intensely involved in. I began to study the culture\economy to see how I could assist the people within a nation where most are poverty-stricken, from the lack of jobs and education. I became convinced that adequate educational training and job acquisition would stimulate the economic growth throughout this developing nation. It would not be until the following summer (2004) while studying aboard in Ghana once again, that I would birth the vision. The vision is to take part in building up the information and communications technology infrastructure throughout Ghana and other developing countries in Africa. After intense research and strategic planning, it became clear how the vision would be implemented. We would educate and equip the people with the technology that is needed to create jobs that will enhance their own economies. Technology in Africa, Inc. is the first organization of its kind; we will establish information and communications technology institutions in which we will offer technological training and development courses in information and communications technology which will prepare technologically savvy, management-oriented professionals for careers in business, industry, government and education throughout the world. As caring, progressive business owners, individuals, and others aid us in repositioning our eastern neighbors, the transformation will yield endless rewards on both sides of the Atlantic.
