Ghana's John Mahama launches Hope City project

Ghana's President John Mahama has launched a project to build a $10bn (£6.6bn) IT hub near the capital, Accra, within three years.Mr Mahama said the private sector would spearhead the building of Hope City. Microsoft to invest in Ghana ICT

US based ICT giant Microsoft has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ghana Ministry of Education to enhance the capacity of teachers and training institutes on Information and Communication Technology. As part of the Ministry’s agreement with Microsoft, a software will be developed to support teaching and learning in all schools. Read more

Cyber crime is inimical to Ghana’s development

Dr. Benjamin Kwesi Prah, Rector of Kumasi Polytechnic, has cautioned Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) students not to use their expertise to engage in cyber crimes. According to him, the process of receiving and giving systematic instruction in education has become a more interactive one due to the use of ICT. Ghana, Microsoft to set up ICT training programmes
